Our Mission

Provides services to survivors of homicide victims and other victims of violence.  Offers various program to assist and empower survivors of homicide victims to rebuild their lives through support groups, workshops, community outreach, and victim advocacy.

About Us

Established in 2003

A  small group of concerned citizens established a series of meetings with Erie County District Attorney Frank Clark for assistance in establishing a process to assure the transfer of information of the status of the investigation to families of homicide victims. Parents Encouraging Accountability and Closure for Everyone was created as an advocacy group for families of homicide victims.

P.E.A.C.E recognizing the need to raise awareness of unsolved homicides that there was no system in place to assist survivors of homicide victims. PEACE initiated a series of public meetings, rallies, bereavement workshops on dealing with grief, trauma and crime victims rights.

In June 2004, P.E.A.C.E established a relationship with Sister Karen Klimczak from the Bissonette House, she was instrumental in establishing the “I LEAVE PEACE PRINTS” signs.
P.E.A.C.E and Sister Karen developed the idea of conducting prayer vigils at homicide sites. Sister Karen was a faithful member of P.E.A.C.E. until her murder in 2006.
P.E.A.C.E members have been professionally trained to provide support and assistance to families and friends who have lost a loved one to homicide. P.E.A.C.E is a 501(c)(3) corporation established for the distinct purpose of advocating on behalf of families who are victims of violence.

P.E.A.C.E is fortunate to have in its membership dedicated and sincere mothers and fathers who have lost children to homicide and moved pass their pain to assist other families to reconstruct their lives in the aftermath of the crime.
P.E.A.C.E has much for which to be thankful for; God has used P.E.A.C.E to play an instrumental role within the City of Buffalo, New York, and  other cities during times of grief, trauma and violence. We are here for you 24/7.
